Synopsis

The purpose of this book is educational. I have read, studied and taught William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, and I wish to on what I have learned to other people who are interested in studying William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. In particular, I think that the readers of this short introduction to William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet will be bright high school seniors and college first-year students, as well as intelligent adults who simply wish to study Romeo and Juliet despite not being literature majors. This book uses a question-and-answer format. This book goes through the play scene by scene. Teachers may find this book useful as a discussion guide for the tragedy. Teachers can have students read a section of the play, then teachers can ask students selected questions from this study guide.
